The Broken Yolk Cafe - La Costa

I like this location. It has starbucks, a bagel shop, Thai pasta, and a huge Albertsons.  Kind of your one stop shop if your friends/fam can't make up their mind what they want.  Not to mention, a golden spoon next door.

 

The parking lot is huge since its a big plaza so thats huge for me.  I kind lean towards this location than downtown, on the coast, or Hillcrest area for good breakfast because the drive and parking alone.  

 

They have a huge selection, service is good, and my friend pulled out some awesome coupon that she said she gets every so often and was meaning to use it....it took nearly half off of the meals.  Pretty awesome if you're not feeling awkward about pulling coupons!

 

I don't care...we are in a RECESSION! Reasonable pricing and good portions. Its not HASH HOUSE A GO GO  plate but its not your small, i'm still hungry  kind of plate after you're done.

 

I like love their omelettes because you can pretty much make your own or pick from the huge selection they already have.  I usually go for the eggwhites in substution, add a bunch more turkey sausage, and other things and they never give you a hard time about substituting or making a custom order. i know some places make it seem like you're making their job difficult but they never mind.

 

Eggs benedicts are great here! Canadian bacon, avocado, and the hollandaise is not too rich, not too watery, and not over salted. 

 

I'd recommend it!
